Canadian-born classical guitarist, composer, and educator Jeff Gosselin began his studies on the guitar at the age of 16, under the instruction of Canadian virtuoso Ben Schenstead. Largely self-taught, he developed his craft over the last 35 years. Jeff has also studied with the great American Maestro Scott Ouellette, in the areas of composition, technique, and musicology.
In 2006 he released his debut recording 'Homage', a collection of Spanish guitar masterpieces. In 2016 he released his second CD of original works, entitled 'Notes From Existence', which received international recognition from Classical Guitar Magazine.
Jeff is active as a member of the Regina Classical Guitar Society (RCGS) as a performer, provincial consultant, board member, and Marketing Director. His performances are a mixture of classic Spanish as well as original compositions. Through his many appearances, Jeff has communicated the exuberant sound of the classical guitar to a wider grassroots audience.
In addition, Jeff continues to create new solo works for the guitar. His compositions 'Transistor' and 'Paper Autumn' have been performed by Dr. Brad Mahon (of the renowned Oberon Trio), as part of his 'Prairie Series' concert repertoire. His composition, "Mi Olvidado', has been interpreted and recorded by players around the world.
Jeff performs on guitars by Wolfgang Jellinghaus and Darren Hippner.
